WE WERE MADE FOR AMAZING THINGS!

“Set out each day believing in your dreams.
Know without a doubt that you were made for amazing things.”
—Josh Hinds; motivational speaker, author
The values we live by are worth morewhen we pass them on.

Yes, yes that’s the truth Josh Hinds (hands up, high five) we were made for amazing things. You must have met Jaynee’s bright, bubbly children? The Holy Ghost has once again demonstrated another spiritual lesson through Jaynee’s gifted children and The Foundation For A Better Life's selected quote from the motivational speaker Mr. Josh Hinds.
These youngsters were recently featured on the Richmond’s lifestyle news cover of Urban Views Weekly. They are celebs, yes; super stars, and it’s evident. Remember God brings home his point however he chooses. I’d like to think that Julian and Tamara are our pin-up’s for FAITH IN ACTION! Their conversations exude greatness. After happily chatting with them about their debut cover they and their Mom consented to my taking their picture of them holding the news paper. we all giggled and celebrated at the irony of this moment. Imagine it starts as thought-a vision, a "what if" ! Don't you see it? I know you do! Their photo expresses God’s character and essence. It’s as though their smiles are saying, “See what happens when you trust and believe God?”

Indeed, blessings and dreams do materialize for all of us and even spill over into the lives of others. Think of the bucket filled with water that usually splashes out as you walk ackwardly which then leaves a trail of water. Same principles applies with our faith journey. The water can’t be contained, your feet, the ground, the floor, the dog, wherever you are moving benefits and experiences the water fall or spill. As Hinds states we were made for amazing things and the domino effect begins. Our water shed experiences touch and impact many circles-circles and lives we’re not even aware of. The world has the opportunity to witness and contemplate God’s favor.

So, what are you believing God for?

Can it happen?

Scripture assures us of that in due season it surely can and will!

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered

into the heart of man,

the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
1 Corinthians 2: 9

Tamara & Julian are living proof that the combination of faith and confidence produce outstanding results. Thanks for the divine confirmation kids, we’ll apply your school of thought. Come on friends, let’s get busy and watch God do even greater things for us and our generations to come!

NOW FAITH!

Atmosphere 7 by Earnest Graham

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for,
the evidence of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:1

Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
Matthew 17:19-20

As I enjoyed The Potter’s Touch : Put Your Faith Into Action by TD Jakes and then stumbled upon this website The High Calling of Our Daily Work, my spiritual toes were being mashed and I knew it! As I reflected and listened I truly understood that although I am a believer in Christ Jesus, on many occasions my “right now” faith is challenged and under construction especially when it comes to my attitude and work. Why is that so hard to swallow for many of us? We’re not totally there- believing God for everything! Our words and actions aren’t always working congruently. Doubt spills over into our “walk” and prayers when we’re truthful. It’s a relief to know that the more biblical truths we read , learn and apply; the clearer it becomes that God desires that we keep it moving in an upbeat fashion, never mind the intellect-it’s about faith! Are you demonstrating your faith!

God has once again gotten my full attention through this sermon and internet sites. He desires our full dedication, trust and heart. We must remain committed –no matter the predicament.

In my spirit, I’m moved to acknowledge that my faith is often compartmentalized into neat baskets with an assortment of attractive labels depending on the “seasons” that I find myself in. I have to confess this really shouldn’t be the case, but on a deeper level it’s a reality. I must earnestly examine what I am thinking-why and how it spills over in my behavior. Are you there also?

Today it’s clear that this methodology is self serving and will have us stuck, often repeating many life lessons we’ve should have learned. It’s God’s intention to move us higher, higher for his benefit of service, so that we effectively are teaching and reaching others! No it doesn’t have to be from the pulpit, synagogue or Sunday School Class. It can occur in the gym, lockers, board room, work cubicle, washroom, assembly lines, school corridors and while we’re waiting for public transportation. Yes, wherever we frequent and interact with other folks.

I feel it in my bones; yes in my spirit that I need to move further along on my spiritual journey and it’s not going to just happen. My momentum can be spurred with NOW FAITH!

Friends, I’m sure you’re getting what the Holy Spirit is conveying? We can’t withhold our faith, and stingily dole out a smattering here and there. We give our faith muscle when we absorb and apply the scripture and communicate with God frequently in prayer. Answers and visions are birthed and thus begins our faith walk. Let’s also remember to seek out spiritually enriching works that cause us to examine ourselves. God is speaking, do you hear him? We’ve got a greater work ahead of us! Trust and “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1

Encyclopedia

faith
inner attitude, conviction, or trust relating man to a supreme God or ultimate salvation. In religious traditions stressing divine grace, it is the inner certainty or attitude of love granted by God himself. In Christian theology, faith is the divinely inspired human response to God's historical revelation through Jesus Christ, consequently, is of crucial significance.

VICTORY IS OURS~IT BELONGS TO YOU AND ME!

"Every scripture is God breathed, so that the man of God may be complete and proficient, well-fitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
2 Timothy 3:16-17

This is an admirable photo of our Commander -in-Chief, President Barak Obama that I had the opportunity of seeing for the first time today. I visited
Essence Magazine's Obama Watch site and saw this awesome photo! I am sure that I must have caught a glimpse on CNN or the Huffington Post. But I apparently, the Holy Ghost was on assignment and wanted to not only appreciate the photo, but the caption as well, which reads:

"Victory Is Ours

President Obama thanks American troops for their service at Camp Victory during his surprise trip to Baghdad, Iraq, on April 7."

Many things came to mind, first the music which is a standard song in many congregations: Victory is Mine! The photto conveys how valiant our US Military is, not to overlook how poised and confident and appreciative our President is! I recall the many bible verses that capture the theme of our having victory not just in the earthly relm, but most assuredly in Christ Jesus! Today friends I'd like to beleive that we're trusting in God and daily we're acknowledging, yes witnessing God's grace in the depth and the substance of our faith . This insight allows us to soars as live through trails. Sometimes with the smoke and dust still in our clothing , but the furnace and battle fields of life haven't consumed us! Can I get a witness?

"To Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory..." Jude 1:24

Indeed we are equipped not only for the physical battle, but the spiritual battles that come with diliberate intention to do us in-harm us and prevent us from thinking like victors. Often the biggest battle is waged in our hearts and minds. Overcoming fear ( false evidence appearing real) is a real hurdle in our victorious living marathons! It takes work, oh but it's possible! We must intentionally renounce the enemy-real and imagined! Let's be poised and confident that God is on our side!

I encourage you to fight the good fight, prevail on your faith sojourns, pray for and over each other. Believe that deliverance will come, dreams birthed, and struggles will subside! Healing is evident.

Finally my friends be assured that when you're fatigued and war weary, God will fight our battles and never foresake us. Yes, God has equipped us with everything we need to reach our destinations-yes our destines are in view. Victory belongs to us, its yours and mine! Visit this site and join Dorothy Norwood in declaring our victory! To God be the glory!

BULLS EYE: ON TARGET FOR BUILDING A FOUNDATION FOR A BETTER LIFE

For God’s gifts and His call can never be withdrawn”
(Romans 11:29, NLT).

God made it so easy for us today through the insightful message from the Foundation for A Better Life'! What immediatley came to mind was BULLS EYE! The message was right on target! Nothing in our lives just happens without some initiative, planning and preparation; we learn from many life lessons that wishing is often futile!

“If you don't go after what you want, you'll never have it. If you don't ask, the answer is always no. If you don't step forward,
you're always in the same place.”
—Nora Roberts (b. 1950), fiction author
Nora Roberts must have experienced going after what she desired and finally it happened. Possibly it was the book being published, the house being built, the garden planted, the children's play house constructed, the long awaited adoption, the love one returning, the peace of mind had, the coins needed, the healing, the expectation-the answer to a prayer. I feel the Holy Spirit urging us not to abandon our heart's desires and exercise our initiative, to seek, find, walk , run whatever it takes to accomplish our desired goals.
I encourage you to always pray, read scripture for your diivine vitamins, and apply His word! Lord knows it takes stamina and energy and not always our own.
But God can surely shore up your strength as you recall the vitality and committment you posssibly once had to get moving closer to your goal.
Ask the Lord for directiion and trust that He'll do just that and then allow you the opportunity to realize what awaits you! His resources are amazing and plentiful!
Remember to shout, "Bulls Eye!" for God's faithulness and your resolve to move ahead! Shout "Bulls Eye" for many victories accomplished as you build your foundation for a better life.
Come on friends get your archery supplies in order and embrace the call and gifts that God has purposed in you!

Words for The Heart Thoughts from the Soul

Sometimes it just has to be said! The expressions, the words must spill out of our mouths - holding back will do us in! Did your mother ever tell you that you just had to have the last word? I remember hearing it said, "Watch your mouth!" or "Just say it and get it off your chest! But you better be careful what you say! " Well those of us that had to have our say knew we weren't going to miss out on an golden opportunity to express what our hearts were aching to share! I suspect that our friend TonyL. Jefferson, Jr. doesn't suffer with that problem of burying his words either.
A man with a heart to share-oh what a wonderful thing! Just prepare yourself to embrace the sentiment! Meet a beloved poet and visual artist with a compassionate spirit and a yearning for soul seeking truths and righteouness. Yes,that's him. Tony L. Read his work, I'm sure you'll concurr, it's evident that he's living in step with the divine! His is a heatbeat in rythm to the tune of God's love. I applaud his work, his energy and respect this poet's voice which crys out in the wilderness to see past our selves, reach for brighter days and believe that all things are possible. Nobody hears the world cry
They just stand by and watch it die
But I heard its soul weep
What a sad sound it was
The sound was soulful and very deep
I say, “hey there world, why do you cry?”
It says to me with a sorrowed tone
No one respects me
No one cares
I feel so neglected
But I have hope to be corrected
Unappreciated is the feeling I feel most
The people that walk me do nothing but boast
They say hey look what I did today
Instead of saying thank you earth for providing the necessities
Because of you world my life can be prosperous
The earth grew a soul and I heard it speak
It said save me from myself
Cause I am spinning out of control
