STRENGTH [FAITH], COURAGE AND WISDOM

"Strength, Courage & Wisdom"

Inside my head there lives a dream that I want to see in the sun

Behind my eyes there lives a me that I've been hiding for much too long'

Cause I've been, too afraid to let it show'

Cause I'm scared of the judgment that may follow

Always putting off my living for tomorrowIt's time to step out on faith,

I've gotta show my faith It's been illusive for so long,

but freedom is mine todayI've gotta step out on faith,

It's time to show my faith

Procrastination had me down but look what I have found, I found

[Chorus]

Strength, courage, and wisdom

And it's been inside of me all along,

Strength, courage, and wisdom

Inside of me

Behind my pride there lives a me, that knows humility

Inside my voice there is a soul, and in my soul there is a voice

But I've been, too afraid to make a choice'

Cause I'm scared of the things that I might be missing

Running too fast to stop and listen

It's time to step out on faith,

I've gotta show my faith

It's been illusive for so long but freedom is mine today

I've gotta step out on faith it's time to show my faith

Procrastination had me down

but look what I have found,

I found

[Chorus]
Strength, courage, and wisdom

And it's been inside of me all along,

Strength, courage, and wisdom
Inside of me
[Bridge]
I close my eyes and I think of all the things that I want to see
'Cause I know, now that I've opened up my heart I know that

Anything I want can be, so let it be, so let it be.

[Chorus]

Strength, courage, and wisdom

It's been inside of me all along,
Strength, courage, wisdom

It's been inside of me all along, everyday I'm praying for:

[Chorus]

Strength, courage, and wisdom
find meah,

Strength, courage, and wisdom
Inside of me

Vamp

I found it in me,
I found it finally

I'm sure to keep it' cause I like it,

I say thank you.

INDIA.ARIE LYRICS http://www.azlyrics.com/

A house is built by wisdom and becomes strong through good sense. Through knowledge its rooms are filled with all sorts of precious riches and valuables.
Proverbs 24:3,4 NLT

By wisdom a house is built,
and through understanding it is established;
through knowledge its rooms are filled
with rare and beautiful treasures.
Proverbs 24:3,4 NIV

As I intently listened to the lyrics of Strength, Courage and Wisdom, the words really captivated my soul. India Aire was singing my anthem and my hand spontaneously hit the ceiling of the car and I knew I was praising God for once again helping me make my way. Saturday morning had been a marathon, running to Barnes and Noble, then off to Kinko’s and finally arriving at my destination-the hospital. Every opportunity to share my book, participate in a booksigning , a reading/open mic, write a devotional whatever transpires related to my devotional, I truly count it all joy!

I have wisdom enough to know it just doesn’t have to be, but faith, love and wisdom are spurring me on to realize what I am longing to do more of does transpire, but indeed there are some hurdles and disappointments. We must readily embrace our heart’s desires and proclaim in our spirits that God makes the way and anoints us to handle the journey. Today, my hindsight is 20/20! One day that will be my spiritual foresight-20/20!

Yes, this was a praise moment as we rode bound for Sentara Hospital’s Care Plex in Hampton, Va. I breathed a sigh of relief that my husband spoke some encouraging words Friday evening, and I had not totally succumb to my disappointment about my delayed book shipment not being on my door step (my compassionate Marketing Rep was equally upset), and about Kinko’s not being able to read the email sent with my business card, and my not being able to bring the amount of books I had desired to the American Heart Association Fundraiser with local Hampton Roads books author’s. Instead I was able to contact my local Books A Million to learn that all the books they had ordered had been sold out! This was feeling crazy! But then I thought, “Hey this is not a bad problem to have.” Borders book store and Barnes and Nobles was my back up plan. Wait , listen to this: they provided me with the news that a whooping 5 books were available for sales at Barnes and Nobles-Borders had only 4 left. Buying my own books- "Go figure that!" as the kids say!

Why was this occuring? Many reasons I suppose.

That morning was designed to frustrate me to no end, and I was almost there. I take no credit for having courage, nor faith about this unraveling situation. I thank God for my husband’s statement of: “You know you can still go!” made all the difference. I washed my face and then we proceeded to map out -a new plan!

There are several life lessons which I now realize are evident. Like my using better judgment with managing my time relative to my dream- ordering my books, and business cards, anticipating the unexpected but having strength an enough courage/wisdom/faith to trust that with God great good comes out of trial. So friends it does seem so simple now, but God does use our predicaments as teaching moments. I am sure that the Holy Spirit has conveyed that never, ever are we to throw in the towel, or abandon a God given life enrichment opportunity to live out our dreams. Friends I believe this was for all of us-the builders of our dreams! Take heart have courage , gather your strength and Go! I’ve got great wisdom now, but had not Ricky shared his divinley inspired insight-his voice of reason I possibly would have thrown away another great moment-a gift to fellowship with some wonderful colleagues and friends:
