My Quilting Journey

I categorize myself as a history & art enthusiast. I’ve always been intrigued with the beauty and design of quilts never imagining that I too would create fiber art that is eye catching and tells a story. As a retiree I have enthusiastically embraced this amazing art and love being expressive and creative with vibrant fabrics ( especially african fabrics, batiks, notions, photography, beads, cowrie shells, twine etc.) and whatever captures my imagination! Back To Basics has the following needs for its Supportive Living Housing and Emergency Shelter Housing:

The Ministry currently has 23 men and 10 women in Supportive Living Housing under three roofs. We are opening two more such housing; one 8 room house for Emergency Shelter, and one 10 room house for Supporitive Living. BTB Housing program (see address and contact below) has been in operation for 8 years; supporting individual residents develop strategies for independent living, by providing counseling, job training, and decision making workshops.
