Fun Day at Virginia Beach 7/2009
So we praise God for the wonderful kindness he has poured out on us
because we belong to his dearly loved Son.
Ephesians 1:6
I will sing of the Lord’s great love forever; with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known through all generations.
Psalm 89:1
The Lord says, “I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me.”
Isaiah 49:16
because we belong to his dearly loved Son.

I am pleased to share that this is my photography. This picture was snapped at Virginia Beach this past weekend. While Ricky was assembling and then flying his Father’s Day kite, I was enjoying snapping pictures. I enjoy the many features of my new camera, and really do appreciate the revealed messages God sends my way when I am observing our daily activities. This just wasn’t an ordinary day at the beach is what I am confident the Holy Spirit is conveying.
Take a close look at the picture, what is it you see? Yes, it’s surely a fun day at the beach? But, not only do I see a little guy enjoying the water and the thrill of trying to jump over the rushing waves, but it’s apparent that a crashing stream of water is headed towards him-much too big for his little legs to handle. The little fella is really having a ball and probably can’t comprehend the possible danger. He’s too immature to understand the consequences of being in an ocean without his safety gear. But the little guy can be assured that a safety net is at arm’s length!
Love is standing by! I am not sure if it’s his “PaPa”, Papa or Grand Pop (endearing term for my Grandfather Ellsworth) or if it’s his uncle or his father! But whoever it is, it’s a father figure standing by on alert! This adult is eagerly watching and ready to intervene with a helping hand when necessary. I thought about our Heavenly Father who is watching over us continually. And, yes when we especially are in harm’s way, or in a fog; too preoccupied with the world matters to know any better. Remember being too caught –up in the moment? I do, been there and done that! Aren’t you glad that God has your back? We can trust that we are His own!
"Thank you, Jesus!" This is what my spirit is proclaiming! Your redemptive power and salvation belong to us as believers.
My friends, embrace that God is ever ready-He’s prepared to rescue and protect when need be. We are like all the children playing, twirling and jumping and surfing in the crashing waters, unaware that this world is a turbulent playground, but assured we are alright! Just know in your heart and soul God’s reaching out to you; why not allow His protection to keep you?
